Escape Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business seeking a proactive and practical Health & Safety Advisor to support their manufacturing process operations. You will report directly to the Production Area Manager and work closely with operators and engineers to drive safe working practices and continual improvement across the site.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain Safe Systems of Work
  • Lead Risk Assessments including COSHH, Manual Handling and DSEAR
  • Deliver site inductions and specialist training (LOTO, working at height, chemical safety)
  • Conduct audits and inspections
  • Track and report H&S KPIs
  • Support root cause investigations to improve systems rather than blame individuals

About You

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3) essential
  • 3–5 years’ H&S experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
  • Strong experience writing SSoW and risk assessments
  • Comfortable influencing teams on the shop floor
  • Practical, approachable and solutions-focused
