Escape Recruitment is working with a leading engineering manufacturer in Dunfermline to recruit a Product Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical engineering environment where you will take projects from initial concept through to production, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

The Role

This is a varied role combining engineering design, technical support and project coordination. You will be responsible for developing customised harnessing solutions while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within specification and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop products from concept through to production
  • Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates and delivery plans for customer quotations
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, production and external customers
  • Select and define components during the design and quotation stages
  • Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation
  • Support product and process optimisation initiatives
  • Coordinate project activities and monitor progress through regular reviews
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers during development projects
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across the wider organisation
  • Carry out problem solving and technical troubleshooting
  • Occasionally visit customer and supplier sites to support projects

What We Are Looking For

  • HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Materials Engineering
  • Experience with CAD and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and engineering development
