Escape Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering services provider to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their growing technical team. This is a hands-on, field-based role supporting customers across Scotland by servicing and maintaining specialist mechanical and electrical equipment. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and providing excellent customer support in a field engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on specialist equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults
- Inspect and maintain associated systems and components
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with industry standards
- Maintain accurate service reports and documentation
- Provide technical support and advice to customers on site
- Participate in a shared on-call rota for breakdown support
What We're Looking For
- Electrical or Mechanical engineering background
- Experience in service engineering, maintenance engineering or similar hands-on roles
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working in field-based environments
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
