Escape Recruitment is working exclusively with a growing and evolving business that has an opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join their Supply Chain Team. This is an all-round role and the Senior Buyer will work closely with Colleagues and Suppliers and be responsible for end-to-end purchasing from placing POs, category strategies, negotiation and Supplier management. Responsibilities of the role will include: Develop and implement procurement strategy for all direct and indirect categories Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers Source new Suppliers for products and services to minimise the Supply Chain Risk Build strong collaborative working relationships with Suppliers Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and proactively support any issues Continuously analyse supply chain processes and identify improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times. Experience and knowledge for the role: Experience working in a similar Purchasing/Procurement/Buyer role within a fast-paced environment (Manufacturing, Retail or eCommerce) Strong Commercial, data analysis and negotiation skills Excellent communicator who can foster and build strong working relationships with Suppliers and Colleagues Experienced in onboarding new Supplies and managing their relationships and performance Previous experience in using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel Skills Thrives working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving business Comfortable to roll sleeves up and support colleagues when needed Flexible to travel occasionally to meet Suppliers This is a great opportunity to join a highly motivated, high-performing Supply Chain Team and a fantastic business that holds values at the heart of the success of their business.
