Our established manufacturing client is looking to appoint a Stock Controller who will work closely with the Supply Chain and Procurement Manager and be responsible for inventory accuracy. The Stock Controller is responsible for ensuring that stock records accurately reflect physical stock on site to support production.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Process goods in and reconcile against purchase orders
- Manage in-transit stock and resolve discrepancies
- Run cycle counts and support full stock takes
- Investigate and resolve stock variances
- Book and coordinate incoming deliveries
- Support dispatch during busy periods
- Assist Finance with month-end stock reporting
- Highlight risks around shortages, excess and slow-moving stock
Experience and knowledge required for the role:
- Experience in stock control, inventory or warehouse roles
- Manufacturing or production environment experience
- ERP system experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data
- Confident working with numbers and resolving discrepancies
- Comfortable working across multiple teams
- Exposure to formal stock counts
- Forklift licence (highly desirable)
