We are working with an established engineering business who are looking to bring in a Quality Inspector to support inspection activities across machined components. This is a hands-on role, focused on dimensional inspection, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring components meet required specifications.
What you'll be doing:
- Inspecting machined components against engineering drawings
- Recording measurements and completing inspection reports
- Identifying and documenting non-conformances (NCR process)
- Working with a range of metrology equipment
- Supporting quality standards across the shop floor
What we're looking for:
- Time served within an engineering environment
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar inspection role
- Strong experience using metrology equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in a machining or heavy engineering environment
Desirable:
- Exposure to CMM
- Aware of NDE processes
