We're recruiting for a growing food manufacturing business that is expanding its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to move into a role where you'll have genuine input into improving reliability, reducing downtime and supporting exciting site improvement projects.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for maintaining a range of automated production equipment while helping drive a proactive maintenance culture.
- Alongside planned and reactive maintenance, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime.
- Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Work on production equipment including mixers, ovens, conveyors and associated machinery.
- Complete maintenance records using a CMMS.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food manufacturing standards.
About You
- Time-served Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
- Previous maintenance experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
- Experience using a CMMS.
- Proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
