Key Responsibilities:
- Promote Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices throughout the organization.
- Enhance employee engagement and foster a positive, proactive culture around Health and Safety.
- Develop and implement an annual improvement plan for Health and Safety.
- Create, manage, and update HSQE policies and procedures.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Oversee risk assessments and ensure safe working procedures are in place.
- Report and respond to accidents, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and corrective actions.
- Perform site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks when necessary.
- Assist with third-party interactions, including councils, HSE, and environmental agencies.
- Support departmental managers in implementing changes through training and guidance.
- Help maintain accreditations such as CHAS and ISO 9001.
- Work with department heads to assess training needs and develop solutions.
- Facilitate training on Health & Safety matters to ensure responsible behaviour.
- Investigate accidents and near misses, ensuring proper documentation and corrective action.
- Encourage reporting of near misses, unsafe acts, and conditions to promote improvement.
- Maintain records of audits, inspections, and incidents, and provide recommendations.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Leadership and excellent communication skills.
