Escape is working in partnership with a long-established manufacturing organisation who have created a new role for a Head of Procurement to lead and develop their purchasing function across multiple sites. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing a team, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and services are available to support production and business growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and develop multi-site purchasing teams
  • Oversee all MRO and indirect spend, ensuring value and continuity of supply
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to support production and capital projects
  • Drive improvements in processes, procedures and efficiency across the purchasing function
  • Support the upgrade and optimisation of the MRP system
  • Work closely with colleagues across operations, manufacturing, logistics and fleet

Candidate profile:

  • Experienced procurement professional with a track record of leading teams
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, materials planning and inventory control
  • Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Experience with MRP systems and process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
