The Role

We're working with a well-established manufacturing business looking to bring in a Goods Inwards Quality Inspector on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This role sits at the front end of production and plays a key part in making sure all incoming materials meet required standards before being released into the manufacturing process.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders, specifications, and quality standards
  • Review and verify material certification (EN10204 3.1 / 3.2)
  • Check chemical and mechanical properties against specifications
  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspections
  • Support non-destructive testing where required (PMI, DPI, hardness testing)
  • Apply sampling plans in line with ISO 2859-1
  • Raise and manage non-conformance reports
  • Maintain accurate inspection and traceability records
  • Work closely with suppliers, purchasing, and internal teams to resolve issues
