A leading structural steel manufacturer based in South Lanarkshire is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their day-shift team. This is a hands-on role working with large steel sections, supporting production output across profiling, drilling, cutting and marking.
What you'll be doing:
- Operating CNC machinery used for structural steel processing
- Setting up tooling and checking it's fit for purpose
- Moving and positioning materials using overhead cranes
- Completing job records through in-house tracking systems
- Carrying out accuracy checks and quality markings
- Keeping a clean, safe working area and following all HSE procedures
- Reporting machine issues to the CNC Manager or Maintenance Team
- Supporting production by ensuring parts flow through to fabrication on time
What you'll need:
- CNC operating experience within steel, fabrication or similar heavy engineering
- Ability to read basic measurements and carry out accuracy checks
- Confidence using overhead cranes and handling large sections
- Strong housekeeping standards and awareness of safe working
- Reliable attitude, able to work independently or as part of a team
