Who we are

Hall & Partners is a team of unconventional thinkers, obsessed with how marketing influences the relationship between people, brands and culture. Born out of ad land, we are the insight agency known for weaving creativity with science.

We distil data through a strategic lens to reveal ‘uncommon insights’ – human truths tailored to individual brands, not black box data available to the masses. We partner with clients to shape brand strategy and optimise brand and campaign performance. Our award-winning approach amplifies insights across every business area, propelling marketing decision‑making to create an unmatched competitive advantage.

We do this for an eclectic group mix of brands, including 29 of Interbrand’s Top 50 Best Brands and 16 of the top 20 biopharmaceutical companies.

Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager (Strategist) with expertise in mixed‑method qualitative and quantitative health and life sciences insight (patients and healthcare providers) to join our team. You’ll be working across a portfolio of accounts that range in size and complexity, managing day‑to‑day client relationships and overseeing the execution of insights projects that shape decision making for leading life sciences brands. You’ll need to have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and critical thinking skills to respond to a wide range of client needs.

Core responsibilities

There are five core capability areas that a Research Manager (Strategist) at Hall & Partners delivers on:

  • 1) Client Builder – Building valuable relationships with clients
As a Research Manager you will manage and nurture day‑to‑day client relationships, immerse yourself in their business and contribute to work that delivers insight that has an impact on client decision making. You will play a role in client meetings, presentations, and workshops, and speak knowledgably about the work we do with them, their brand and marketing.
  • 2) Business Developer – Driving business growth with commercial acumen
As a Research Manager you will have a POV on designing research and solutions that answer client questions and contribute to proposal creation and pitch delivery as part of a team (with senior oversight)
  • 3) Expert in craft – Doing the day job brilliantly
You will leverage your key research skills such as questionnaire design, data checking and use of data analysis packages, discussion guide creation and qualitative approaches. You will be proficient in analysis techniques, able to extract insight and create engaging deliverables from multiple data sources, including primary/survey, interview, and other non‑survey data. You will work with the team to run insights projects from start to finish, managing timelines and ensuring accuracy of data and deliverables.
  • 4) Team Player – Giving and getting the best from the team
As a Research Manager you will manage the day‑to‑day running of projects providing guidance to junior team members. You will have line management responsibility for 1+ Analyst, holding regular development conversations and setting objectives with the support of your own line manager
  • 5) Role model – Embodying H&P Values to build meaning for our clients and people
The Hall & Partners values are all about being Creative, Curious, Courageous and Collaborative, all grounded in a strong Community. We expect all our people to demonstrate and work by these values every day.

  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Highly motivated and driven, with a hunger to win and grow our business.
