We are seeking a curious, committed Associate Consultant with fluent written and spoken Japanese and English to join one of our largest and most high-profile accounts, working with a leading global technology brand. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of Japanese culture, able to draw on lived experience to engage authentically with Japanese consumers. You will be part of an international consultancy team, combining cultural insight from markets around the world to shape products for our client and its global users. From day one, you’ll play an active role on live client work — this is not a back‑room role. You’ll contribute to data analysis and client delivery, developing core consultancy skills in community‑led research within the tech sector and beyond. This role offers a strong stepping stone for someone looking to grow a long‑term career in insight, strategy, and consulting.
What you’ll do
- Research & analysis
- Clean, process, and quality‑check language‑based datasets
- Review and interpret consumer responses, identifying data integrity issues
- Conduct quantitative analysis to uncover both the what and the why behind consumer behaviour
- Carry out desk research into technology, UX, and cultural trends in the Japanese market
- Translate data into clear, compelling insights and trends
- Contribute to professional, client‑ready outputs in a range of formats, working closely with senior consultants
- Support lead Consultants and the broader Account team in nurturing client relationships
- Develop confident presentation skills, including co‑presenting insights to clients
- Participate actively in team discussions, workshops, and client meetings
What you’ll bring
