Role Description
This is a full‑time remote role for a Lift Repair Engineer at Escalated. The Lift Repair Engineer will diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and carry out repairs on lifts and related vertical transport equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Daily responsibilities include conducting inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electronic issues, completing service reports, and coordinating with colleagues and clients to schedule work and communicate findings. The role also involves following safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting continuous improvement in repair and maintenance practices.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, and for documenting repair activities clearly.
- Proficiency in electronics repair and soldering for diagnosing and fixing control systems and electronic components.
- Experience in maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of lifts, escalators, or similar mechanical and electrical systems.
- Relevant technical training or apprenticeship in lift engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards for vertical transport equipment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and respond to service requests promptly.
- Valid authorization to work in the UK and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Previous experience in the vertical transport industry or building services is an advantage.
