The Role
The successful Design Engineer will play a key role in the mechanical design of bespoke machinery and automation systems. This is a varied role that involves:
Creating detailed manufacturing drawing packages using Autodesk Inventor (3D) and AutoCAD (2D).
Contributing innovative design solutions and value engineering ideas.
Supporting project delivery from proposal and concept stages through to build and installation.
Working closely with a collaborative engineering team and other departments to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally with exposure to automation, pneumatics, and special-purpose machinery.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D software.
Strong understanding of Machinery Safety Standards and CE Marking.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
Commercially aware with a good understanding of cost control in design.
