The Project Manager client side is responsible for planning, organizing, managing, and controlling the resources and activities necessary for complex construction projects. Acts as a liaison between the Project Owner and various stakeholders (designers, contractors, legal and/or finance consultants, etc.), covering the entire design and construction process (RIBA Stages 3–5), ensuring compliance with the schedule, cost plan, and quality standards defined by the client.
- Defining project objectives and developing detailed plans for all operational phases
- Handling contracts JCT and standard employer/contractor forms
- Coordinating and supervising project teams and contractors, ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders (developers, funders, local authorities)
- Monitoring and controlling costs according to critical path, resource levelling, and cash flow forecasting
- Managing risks and critical issues, with timely intervention in the event of unforeseen events or delays
- Overseeing Health & Safety client duties, CDM client responsibilities, and building handover/defects
- Managing relations with contractors and clients, including the production and approval of payment certificates
- Closing the project, ensuring the delivery of as built documentation and compliance with contractual conditions
5+ years’ project management experience, ideally in a consultancy environment, focused primarily on high-end / luxury residential / Luxury Retail projects valued up to £5 million.
Degree qualified in Building Surveying, Project Management, or related field MRICS, MAPM or equivalent chartership preferred.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong problem solving, negotiation, and risk management skills.
Commercially aware, quality-driven, and organised under pressure.
A team player who thrives in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Demonstrable experience with BIM-based platforms (Revit, Navisworks or equivalent), project programming tools (MS Project, Asta Powerproject) and standard MS Office suite.
