We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a complex, multi-country HRIS implementation for an independent import and distribution business operating within the fuel sector. This programme will harmonise HR systems, processes, and data across multiple countries, transforming fragmented HR operations into a unified global platform. The scale, diversity, and regional complexity—particularly within Germany as the most intricate market—make this a high-impact, high-visibility role. The successful candidate will act as the client-side Project Manager, with responsibility for driving delivery, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring momentum across regions that currently lack internal project capacity. The client is based in Hamburg, Germany, so therefore a requirement for 50% travel is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the Dayforce HRIS implementation across multiple countries
- Develop and manage the project plan, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
- Ensure alignment between global objectives and local country requirements
- Oversee system configuration, testing, data migration, and deployment phases
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central point of coordination between:
- HR leadership
- Local country teams
- Vendors / implementation partners
HRIS Expertise & Guidance
- Provide subject matter expertise on HR systems and implementation best practices
- Ensure effective design and harmonisation of:
- Core HR processes
- Data structures
- Reporting frameworks
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks across countries
- Escalate critical issues and propose practical solutions
- Navigate complexity in legal, regulatory, and operational differences across markets
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven track record delivering global HRIS implementations (ideally Dayforce or similar platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors)
- Experience leading multi-country transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of HR operations and processes (hire-to-retire lifecycle)
- Experience in complex, decentralised organisations
- Willing and able to travel across Europe when required
