Equitas is seeking a creative and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join one of our partner schools. This co-educational secondary school with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating offers a welcoming and supportive environment for both students and staff. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and interactive Food Technology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, fostering a love for cooking and nutrition. Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and inspire students to explore culinary arts and healthy eating. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure their development and success. Ensure the safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and materials in the classroom. Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as cooking clubs or school-wide events promoting food and health. Essential Requirements: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching Food Technology within a secondary school setting is desirable, though early career teachers are welcome to apply. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology, with a focus on practical skills, food science, and nutrition. A passion for inspiring students and helping them develop valuable life skills. Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
