This permanent full-time role offers the opportunity to lead Non-Destructive Testing activities as a Senior NDT Inspector within a modern structural steel manufacturing environment. The position involves ensuring high-quality inspection processes, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and supporting operational teams in delivering safe, accurate and efficient testing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all NDT activities during allocated shifts, ensuring timely and accurate inspections.
- Conduct and oversee UT, MPI, PT and VT techniques in accordance with relevant standards.
- Review, interpret and apply BS EN ISO, AWS and ASME specifications.
- Validate inspection reports for clarity, accuracy and traceability.
- Provide technical support, guidance and mentoring to junior inspectors and technicians.
Requirements
- CSWIP 3.0 certified or above.
- PCN Level 2 – Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI / MT) & Ultrasonic (UT) 3.1, 3.2, 3.7.
- Proven NDT experience in Heavy Manufacturing.
Location: Thirsk
Permanent Choice of Days or Nights Shift pattern:
- Days @ £26.22 per hour - Mon-Thurs 06:45am-17:00pm, Friday 06:45am-11:45am
- Nights @ £30 per hour – Mon-Weds 18:00pm-06:30am, Thurs 18:00 - 02:30am
