We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Lead to join a major nuclear and civil infrastructure programme based in Whitehaven. This role will lead procurement activities across multiple project packages, ensuring materials, subcontractors and services are sourced efficiently while maintaining compliance with nuclear regulatory requirements and project delivery objectives.
This position would suit a Procurement professional with experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure or engineering projects, ideally within regulated environments such as nuclear, defence or energy. It will appeal to someone who is confident managing supply chains, negotiating contracts and working closely with project, commercial and delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead procurement activities across the project, including sourcing subcontractors, suppliers and specialist services
- Manage tendering processes, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations
- Work closely with project, commercial and delivery teams to align procurement strategies with project requirements
- Ensure procurement processes comply with regulatory, contractual and company governance requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and supply chain partners
In return you’ll receive a salary up to £62k plus car allowance, 25 days holiday, up to 8% company pension contribution and private medical insurance.
