We have a fantastic opportunity to work with a business in the FMCG industry who make large special purpose machinery. This role involves working within a collaborative engineering team to produce precise and efficient AutoCAD and SolidWorks design packages for the manufacture and assembly of mechanical products and machinery used within industrial manufacturing environments.

This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in 2D and 3D CAD systems, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment, enjoys technical problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, detailed design work. Those with a background in machine design, metal fabrication, or industrial manufacturing will find this position especially rewarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate detail drawings and complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ERP systems.
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs and technical specifications for equipment and assemblies.
  • Review, check, and revise engineering drawings to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and production staff to resolve design challenges and improve manufacturability.
  • Perform engineering calculations and contribute to continuous improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives.
