We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business delivering major projects within the UK defence sector. You’ll take ownership of complex engineering programmes, controlling schedule, cost, quality and risk while coordinating internal engineering, manufacturing, commercial and supply chain teams to achieve successful project delivery.

This position would suit a Project Manager with a strong background in engineering or manufacturing who has successfully delivered complex, high-value projects. It will particularly appeal to someone comfortable working across multiple functions, managing demanding schedules and influencing stakeholders within defence, aerospace, automotive or another technically complex manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of major engineering projects, managing delivery against agreed time, cost, quality and performance objectives
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, milestones, risk registers and recovery plans
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, commercial, procurement and supply chain teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Monitor project performance, identifying schedule, cost and resource variances and implementing appropriate corrective actions
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management, customers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders

In return you’ll receive a salary of £60k–£65k, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 7% employer pension contribution, half-day Fridays, life assurance, company sick pay, Employee Assistance Programme, additional holidays and long-service rewards, cycle-to-work scheme and free on-site parking.
