We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join a specialist manufacturing and fabrication business supporting bespoke customer projects. This role will focus on producing accurate technical drawings and manufacturing packs to support production, while working closely with engineering, production and customers to ensure high-quality project delivery. This position would suit a CAD professional with experience within sheet metal or fabrication environments who enjoys managing projects from concept through to manufacture. Ideally you’ll have come from a hands-on shop floor background.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings and manufacturing packs from customer specifications
- Manage projects from receipt of order through to production support and completion
- Create and process files for manufacturing and CAM systems using CAD software such as RADAN
- Liaise with customers to resolve technical queries and gain drawing approvals
- Support production teams on the shop floor, ensuring drawings and manufacturing requirements are clearly understood
In return you’ll receive a salary up to £32,500, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a 38.5-hour working week, early finish Fridays and company pension scheme.
