This Bid Manager role is responsible for leading the full tendering and bid submission process within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Working closely with commercial, engineering, and delivery teams, you will coordinate high-quality, compliant, and commercially competitive proposals whilst driving continuous improvement and supporting business growth. This opportunity would suit an organised and commercially minded professional with experience managing complex tenders, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead bid submissions from initial opportunity through to final presentation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end tender and bid submission process.
  • Coordinate with engineering, commercial, and project delivery teams to produce high-quality proposals.
  • Review technical and commercial compliance to ensure competitive and profitable submissions.
  • Manage and mentor the Bid Team whilst improving bid processes and tender documentation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support future business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Senior Bid / Tendering role.
  • Experience in highly regulated Manufacturing sector.
  • Confident working across Technical, Commercial and Delivery teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Eligible to pass SC Clearance.

Location: Chorley

Contract – OUTSIDE IR35 (subject to CEST test / IR35 assessment)

Pay Rate – Competitive (negotiable – dependent on experience)

Working Hours: 4 day working week! Monday – Thursday, Full Time.
