Global is a world-leading specialist in temporary structures and event overlay, delivering large-scale live environments for major sporting, cultural and public events across the UK and internationally. We are now recruiting experienced Supervisory Crew based in Glasgow to support the installation and removal of multiple major event venues across the city this summer. This is a fixed-term contract role for July and August 2026. There are no ongoing or permanent opportunities attached to this position.
THE ROLE
As Supervisory Crew, you will lead and support teams during the build and dismantle of four large venues across Glasgow. This is a handsâon leadership role requiring strong technical capability, excellent safety awareness, and proven experience managing crew on live project sites. You will work closely with Construction Managers and site leadership to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Supervise and lead crew teams during installation and removal phases
- Assemble and dismantle structural systems, scaffolding and associated infrastructure
- Oversee working at height activities and ensure compliance at all times
- Interpret drawings and RAMS to guide safe execution of works
- Coordinate daily tasks to meet programme deadlines
- Ensure correct use of tools, plant and access equipment
- Monitor safe handling and movement of materials
- Report hazards, incidents and near misses immediately
- Maintain a safety-first approach across all venues
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend Daily Activity Briefings (DABS)
- Comply with all site safety rules, PPE requirements and client policies
- Ensure WAH controls and rescue plans are understood and followed
- Monitor crew welfare including dehydration and fatigue
- Know emergency procedures, first aid locations and equipment points
- Stop work and report anything unsafe immediately
- Never operate with damaged tools or uncertain methods. Always elevate
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Proven experience supervising crew teams on construction or event sites
- Strong Working at Height (WAH) knowledge and practical experience
- Scaffolding or structural build experience
- Basic carpentry skills
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and site documentation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Sound knowledge of health & safety principles
- Confident leadership style with clear communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and solutionâfocused under pressure
- Seating installation or event overlay experience (preferred)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a siteâbased, handsâon role working across multiple venues within Glasgow only. Work will take place outdoors and indoors, in busy, highâprofile environments and in varying weather conditions. The contract runs throughout July and August 2026 and flexibility around working hours will be required to meet programme demands.
