We are currently looking for a Service Desk Agent/Technical Remote Specialist to maintain and support the desktop client computing environments supported by the FDS Manchester Infrastructure group located at Blackley, Manchester. This is a junior level position where training will be provided and is part of an exciting new project for FDS. This role works on a shift basis either 7am-3pm or 11am-7pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone and remote first line IT support, liaising with other support teams and third parties.
- Ability to handle routine queries and resolve issues with use of knowledge base.
- Maintain and update the knowledge database and contribute to the maintenance of relevant procedure, operating and user manuals as directed.
- Basic knowledge of Windows 7 operating system and associated technologies.
- Some PC hardware awareness and fault diagnosis skills.
- Some customer service experience preferable.
- Potential to travel to client site out of hours when necessary.
