About the Role

This is an exciting time to join an established, global manufacturing organisation with over 100 years of history. Building high-level relationships throughout the organisation, this role will work with global peers to deliver key account projects to ensure that they are delivered on time. Working through the matrix, partnering with other global corporate functions. This is a team leadership position across Europe. With the Sales Lead accountable for driving sales growth through a team of direct-report Key Account Managers alongside indirect KAM resources operating within the matrix structure. Leading and embedding key practices in Account Management, this position is responsible for leading a team to drive sustainable business growth and ensuring that they deliver on targets. This position operates within the global scope of the business unit and maintains strong matrix alignment with Sales Manager peers worldwide.

Summary of the Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of sales professionals across three key European markets, with a clear mandate to maximise performance through the existing structure
  • Ability to elevate team capability
  • Leading and embedding best practice in Key Account Management
  • Ownership of building a predictable sales engine, optimising conversion rates, improving sales processes
  • Collaborate with Distribution Managers to support business activity
  • Alignment with global peers worldwide to support key account management
  • Cost Management
  • Ownership of global programmes

Key Skills Required

  • Team management experience
  • Background in B2B sales ideally within the industrial equipment sector
  • Experience of operating within global environments
  • An understanding of the complexity of multi-market sales leadership
  • Ability to influence senior global stakeholders
  • Project Management experience
  • Engineering degree / MBA (desired)
