This is a full-time remote role for a Setting Out / Site Engineer at ES Monitoring. The role involves planning and setting out site activities in coordination with project engineers and consultants, ensuring accurate implementation of acoustic and structural requirements. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Setting out targets/prisms and monitoring the structure deflection, movement, tilt.
- Setting up control grids and undertaking piles tilt monitoring with inclinometer and Leica total stations.
- On-site experience in setting out the grid control points, installation of reflective targets, prism and preferable experience in setting/installing casings for pile inclinometers.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise clearly and professionally with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams are essential. A background in structural engineering or related fields is required, with the ability to interpret structural and acoustic drawings and specifications. Experience working alongside civil engineers or within civil engineering projects, understanding groundworks, foundations, and infrastructure interfaces is important.
A relevant degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline is necessary. Proficiency with setting-out instruments and basic surveying tools; experience with CAD or similar design software is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote working environment are crucial.
