About Us
Eryri National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the Park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people.
We are now looking for an Information Systems Support Technician to join us on a 37-hour per week basis. We welcome applicants who are learning Welsh and would be willing to work with us to reach the Welsh language requirements of the role.

The Role
As an Information Systems Support Technician, you will provide support for computer hardware, software and associated equipment across the Authority. Working as part of the IS Section, you will join a team managing approximately 200 personal computers, WAN and VPN links, and a range of databases, whilst supporting staff and Members across multiple sites. You will also support desktop systems, limited network administration and GIS-related activity, helping ensure users have access to the systems, equipment and support they need.
Additionally, you will:
- Install, maintain, support and upgrade desktop hardware, software and peripherals
- Undertake first-line technical fault diagnosis and repair
- Capture, input and digitise data and produce GIS maps
- Carry out PAT testing and support limited desktop network administration
- Control stock levels of computer and peripheral consumables
- Train staff and Members
About You
To be considered as an Information Systems Support Technician, you will need:
- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- A relevant qualification or two years experience of information systems
- Computer skills and experience of Office and general software
- Experience of hardware
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- To be ready and willing to work within a team, but with the ability to work without supervision at times
- A valid driving licence
