Role: TIG Welder
Location: Northampton
About the role:
- Ensure that Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and standards are adhered to, i.e. clean and organised work area, waste disposal, specification compliance, hazard spots etc.
- Liaise with testing team to organise a prioritised test schedule.
- Ensure the correct materials are picked from stores to complete each job.
- Complete assigned assembled hose schedule.
- Ensure tested hose assemblies are stored/quarantined in accordance with company procedures.
- Liaise with goods-in/dispatch to be packed and shipped.
- Communicate with quality team if failures or faults have been identified and assist in subsequent investigations.
Hours of work: 07:*******:00 - Mon to Fri 39 hours per week
About you:
- Must have previous experience in TIG welding.
- Previous industry experience is nice but not essential (Metallic hose assembly).
- Must be able to use a computer.
- Basic IT skills.
- Literate and mathematically competent.
- Must be willing to learn and expand their understanding.
- Must be adaptable/flexible.
- Must be driven and motivated.
- Able to work both independently and in a team.
- Show willingness to learn and try new things in a rapidly evolving production environment.
- Seek opportunities to improve processes and performance (business and personal).
