Newcastle upon Tyne - £26,228.00 - Full Time
Erudus is a SaaS business fast becoming the go-to source of data for the food industry. We are an ambitious, growing company entering a major expansion phase in 2026. To support this growth, we are looking for a highly organised Account Administrator to join a dedicated team focused on managing one of our major key accounts.
This is a vital role supporting our Key Account Manager in delivering operational excellence. You will serve as the operational backbone, ensuring the partnership runs smoothly by taking full ownership of day-to-day tasks. This isn’t just a behind-the-scenes role; you will be a key point of contact, building and maintaining strong relationships with both the customer and their suppliers—whether that’s over the phone, video call or in person.
If you are looking for a role that offers a diverse mix of relationship management, proactive data stewardship, and high-level reporting, all while working closely to support a Key Account Manager, we want to hear from you. Join us and become an integral part of the team shaping the future of food technology.
About Erudus: Working with Food Manufacturers, Wholesalers, Caterers, and Retailers, the Erudus platform provides all the accurate allergy, nutrition, and technical product data the foodservice industry needs in one easy-to-access place. Our data helps our customers respond to and comply with changes in legislation and increasingly complex consumer needs, whilst our range of tools and solutions uses the latest technology to make life easier for businesses eager to become more efficient and more innovative.
Role Overview: The role is centered on operational excellence and relationship management. You will work hand-in-hand with the Key Account Manager to ensure our customer receives a first-class service:
- Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for the account. You will lead and participate in communications with both the customer and their suppliers via phone, video call, and in-person meetings to resolve queries and build trust.
- Operational Backbone: Take full ownership of the day-to-day tasks that keep the account running smoothly.
- Data Stewardship: Maintain our high standards for data integrity. You will proactively create, review and circulate management information, identifying and resolving issues such as product duplicates or data mismatches.
- Data Inputting: Provide ad-hoc support to our data entry team member, ensuring information is inputted accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Key Account Manager to prepare for strategic reviews and internal catch-ups, ensuring all operational data is accurate and ready for high-level decision-making.
- Workflow Support: Supporting the wider team in hitting KPIs and maintaining the high standards required to keep this major partnership running smoothly.
Requirements: We are looking for a methodical, people-oriented administrator who takes pride in "getting it right" and enjoys a varied role. To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate:
- Detail-Oriented & Analytical: You have a "detective" mindset. You enjoy spotting patterns in data and won’t rest until a discrepancy or "mismatched" entry is resolved.
- Relationship Driven: You are a confident communicator. Whether it’s a quick phone call to a supplier, a video call to a stakeholder, or an in-person meeting, you build rapport easily and professionally.
- Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable navigating CRM systems or SaaS platforms.
- Organisational Excellence: You can manage a busy environment, prioritising daily operational tasks alongside long-term project deadlines without letting anything slip through the cracks.
- Proactive Problem Solver: You don’t just report a bottleneck; you suggest a way to fix it. You are eager to learn the technicalities of the food industry to better support the Key Account Manager.
