Lead Senior Care Assistants

37.5 hours per week, Internal Rotation

Our service is provided in a 24/7, 365 days environment:

shifts include weekends & bank holidays

Our standard shifts are 12½ hours (includes unpaid break)

and are rotational between Day Shift and Night Shift

Day Shift: 07:30 – 20:00

Night Shift: 19:30 – 08:00

Grade 4 Salary £29,617 to £34,276 per annum (pro rata)

The Role:

Be compassionate! Be exceptional! Be a Lead Senior Care Assistant for Erskine Veterans Charity!

As a Lead Senior Care Assistant at Erskine, you will support Senior Care Assistants / Care Assistants, under the supervision of Registered Nurses, to provide the highest quality of care to our residents who have wide-ranging and complex needs including dementia.

You will be responsible for the delegation and delivery of care to residents escalating matters to the Registered Nurse in charge of the home as and when appropriate. Taking routine charge of the House and shift.

You will have a kind, warm and caring nature, be patient and understanding and be able to work well and lead a team. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential as you will be required to update records, write reports and care plans and liaise with residents, relatives and staff. Within the role you will be required to develop skills required to deliver staff training and supervision.

SVQ III in Health and Social Care or SVQ Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 7 is essential as well as the relevant PDA. The postholder is required to registered at Supervisor level with the SSSC and have experience of administering medications.
