Overview
Our service is provided in a 24/7, 365 days environment: shifts include weekends & bank holidays. Our standard shifts are 12½ hours (includes unpaid break) and are rotational between Day Shift and Night Shift. Day Shift: 07:30 – 20:00; Night Shift: 19:30 – 08:00.
Grade 6 Salary £42,782 - £46,417 per annum – PAY AWARD PENDING. Permanent, full-time role. Closing Date: Sunday 22nd February 2026.

The Role
As a Deputy House Manager (First Level registered nurse) you will assist the House Manager in the day to day running of the House, promoting a standard of care / support in accordance with Erskine’s Philosophy of Care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional guidance and support to care staff in order to maintain a high quality of care that is relationship-centred and meets the needs of the residents.
- Co-ordinate and assist with training of staff and induction of new staff.
- Assist in the assessment of care needs, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards of care.
- Lead in audit, formulate and act on improvement plans as a result of audit.
- Deputise in the absence of the House Manager, when required.
Excellent communication skills with strong influencing and networking skills and analytical skills coupled with sound business acumen are required. In addition the post holder will require knowledge of the responsibilities and role of the Care Inspectorate and national policy in relation to care of older people.
