Erskine is an iconic Scottish charity, formed in 1916 by Scotland’s compassionate response to the horrors of war. We work as a dedicated team to ensure that veterans of all ages are cared for to the highest of standards in a beautiful, fun‑filled environment, comprising two care homes, a veterans village of cottages, an activities centre and apartments.

Location: Erskine Edinburgh Home, Gilmerton

Employment Details: Permanent, Part‑Time | 30 hours per week | 5 over 7 days | Shifts: 07:30‑14:00 & 12:30‑18:30 | Grade 1 Salary: £20,394 – £20,445 per annum | Closing Date: Sunday, 4th January 2026

The Role: The post‑holder will have ongoing responsibility for supporting the provision of a high‑quality catering service to residents, staff and visitors at all times. Working as part of a team, duties will include:

  • Cleaning of kitchen, kitchen equipment (using industrial pot wash machine) and dining areas
  • Unloading and putting away stock
  • Serving food, beverages and, on occasion, preparing basic food
