The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Award‑Winning Fundraising and Communications Team as an Events Fundraising Officer. We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, outgoing individual with hands‑on experience of organising and coordinating charity events. Based in the Erskine Veterans Village, Bishopton near Glasgow, the post holder will ensure Erskine achieves fundraising targets and develops long‑term, sustainable relationships with private and corporate supporters through a variety of fundraising and awareness‑raising activities to achieve its charitable aims. Erskine must raise over £10 million in voluntary income per year and this role plays an important part in achieving that goal.

Supporting the Events & Sponsorship Manager, the post holder will project manage outdoor and social events such as the Erskine Burns Supper & Ceilidh, a charity partnership with The Ideal Home Show Scotland, Armed Forces Events, the Erskine Golf Day & Dinner and the Erskine Military Ball – with more in the pipeline.

The successful candidate will have commercial events, community and/or fundraising experience and be educated in events/marketing. Excellent project planning, interpersonal, communication and written skills together with good IT skills are essential for this post. Attention to detail in carrying out a range of business‑critical administrative tasks is crucial, providing effective administrative support for the full programme of events, as is the ability to work flexibly as part of a small team. Experience of NXT database software and Monday.com would be an advantage, although training will be provided if necessary. A full driving licence is essential and evening/weekend working is frequently required.
