Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Chemistry (Maternity Cover) to join the Senior School on a temporary basis from 14 August 2026 to 25 June 2027 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is full time, with a salary of £35,202-50,982. The role is based at our Queensferry Road site.
The purpose of the role is to teach Chemistry at all levels up to Higher and contribute to the School’s extra-curricular programme. The successful candidate must be GTCS registered, or eligible for registration, in teaching Chemistry.
Eligibility: ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
