As a Deputy House Manager (First Level registered nurse) you will assist the House Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the House and promote a standard of care that aligns with Erskine’s Philosophy of Care. You will:
- Provide professional guidance and support to care staff to maintain a high quality of relationship‑centred care.
- Coordinate and assist with staff training and induction of new staff.
- Assist in the assessment of care needs, implementation and evaluation of care programmes, and setting of care standards.
- Lead audit, formulate and act on improvement plans based on audit outcomes.
- Deputise for the House Manager in their absence, when required.
Excellent communication skills, strong influencing and networking abilities, analytical skills, and sound business acumen are required. Knowledge of the Care Inspectorate responsibilities and national policy on older people care is essential.
