The role: The postholder promotes and safeguards the well-being of veterans and creates an inclusive environment for the veteran community. Working under the EVAC Manager, the officer provides proactive support, including development of individual support packages at EVAC North. The officer also offers advice, access to welfare services, financial support, and advocacy for vulnerable veterans. In addition, the officer builds networks and partnerships with external agencies, services and internal departments to facilitate assistance and ensure maximum benefit for all Veterans.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. A Disclosure Scotland check is required, and candidates who have resided in the UK for less than five years and lived outside the UK for six months or more will also be asked to complete a criminal records check via HireRight.
