Senior Civil Engineer
We're looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering team delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the residential, commercial and highways sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity to take a lead role in the design and delivery of civil engineering schemes, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of highways and civil engineering projects from concept through to detailed design.
- Produce designs for roads, access junctions, drainage, flood risk and infrastructure works.
- Ensure designs comply with current standards, legislation and best practice.
- Manage project delivery to programme and budget.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare technical reports and liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Around 8+ years' post-graduate experience in civil/highway engineering.
- Strong experience with highways design, drainage strategies and Section 278/184 schemes.
- Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, NRSWA and highway adoption processes (S278, S38, S104).
- Proficient in Auto CAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking and drainage design software.
- Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.
- Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE/CIHT/CIWEM) is desirable.
