We're seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer or Associate to lead the delivery of a diverse range of civil engineering projects across the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with leadership experience to manage projects, develop client relationships and play a key role in growing a successful civil engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and delivery of highways, infrastructure and development projects.
- Manage projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.
- Manage project programmes, budgets and resources.
- Support business development by building client relationships and contributing to bids and fee proposals.
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in civil/highway engineering design and project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, NRSWA and highway/drainage adoption processes (S278, S38, S104).
- Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Causeway Flow and related design software.
- Strong commercial awareness, project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Chartered status (ICE, CIHT or CIWEM), or working towards chartership, is desirable.
- Site supervision and contract management.
- Financial management of projects.
- Bid and fee proposal preparation.
- Knowledge of procurement routes and contract types.
- Experience with flood risk permitting and land drainage consent processes.
