We're currently recruiting for a Principal Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Location: Hampshire
Contract: 12-Month Initial Contract
IR35: TBC
This role will involve leading civil engineering projects from planning through to delivery, managing junior engineers, and working closely with developers, architects, and local authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead civil engineering design projects
- Deliver drainage, highways, and infrastructure designs
- Manage S278/S38 schemes
- Review technical drawings and reports
- Mentor and support junior engineers
- Attend client meetings and site visits
- Coordinate project resources and workloads
- Prepare fee proposals and support project delivery
Requirements:
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
- CEng/IEng status or working towards Chartership
- Strong experience in drainage and highways design
- Experience managing projects and mentoring teams
- Knowledge of SuDS, highways standards, and planning processes
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
