We\’re working with a prestigious global consultancy to find a Technical Lead to join their expanding High Voltage (HV) Networks team in Manchester or Birmingham. This is a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge energy projects and shape the future of sustainable power systems.
The Role
As a Technical Lead, you\’ll provide expert guidance on power systems engineering projects, lead a team of talented engineers, and play a key role in business development. You\’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the delivery of complex power systems studies (steady-state, dynamic, transient).
- Acting as Project Manager on multidisciplinary energy projects.
- Supporting strategic growth through recruitment, training, and mentoring.
- Managing team resources, performance, and development.
- Contributing to business planning and client engagement.
What We\’re Looking For
We\’re seeking a driven and technically accomplished individual with:
- A degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
- Chartered Engineer status (IET or equivalent).
- Strong consultancy experience and leadership potential.
- Proficiency in power system analysis tools (e.g., DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE).
- Knowledge of UK grid connection processes and HVDC systems.
- A proven track record in project delivery and client management.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong industry network.
