Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team, working across the UK on Electrical Transmission frameworks, with current projects in Swansea. Experience working with National Grid is essential.
Responsibilities
- You will manage a range of M&E projects from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
- You will work closely with a knowledgeable team, handle risks and challenges as they arise, and keep projects on track for time and budget.
- You will also get involved in new bids and help shape the success of the wider team.
What you will bring (Qualifications)
- Hands-on experience building National Grid substations, with a solid understanding of NG standards, rules, and EPC / M&E frameworks.
- Experience leading Design and Build projects and managing different teams.
- Confidence working with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- A background in construction or engineering (qualification or equivalent experience).
- Project management qualification (APM, PMP, or similar).
- Good commercial knowledge, especially working with NEC contracts.
- Strong ability to manage risk and spot opportunities.
- Knowledge of key regulations like HSWA, CDM, EAWR, etc.
- Ability to see projects through every stage of the lifecycle.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Comfortable using project management software.
