The Site Manager is responsible for the delivery of assigned sections of large-scale projects. Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team, the Section Manager ensures that works are delivered safely, to the highest quality standards, on programme and within budget. This role has a strong focus on health & safety leadership, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and the effective sequencing of works to support the overall construction programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of designated sections of the project, ensuring works are delivered in line with project specifications, programme milestones and Walls Construction standards.
- Lead and enforce all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) requirements, ensuring full compliance with company procedures and local regulatory standards.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, forepersons and direct labour to achieve production targets and programme objectives.
- Plan and oversee site setup activities within assigned sections, including logistics, access, security, deliveries and traffic management.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to support programme delivery, including the effective sequencing of trades to maximise quality and minimise rework.
- Monitor and manage resources including labour, plant, materials and site overheads within your section.
- Ensure quality inspections, snagging and handover activities are completed to the required data centre standards.
- Maintain clear communication with the wider site team to ensure smooth interfaces between sections and trades.
- Support a positive site culture, maintaining strong employee and subcontractor relations.
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in a site management role.
- Experience across commercial, industrial, residential, fit-out or refurbishment projects; data centre experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, quality management and HSEQ systems.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and flexibility to work on European-based projects as required.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
