We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead temporary works and pipeline design for high-profile utility projects. If you are passionate about engineering, enjoy mentoring junior staff, and want to work on major UK gas infrastructure projects, this role is for you.
What you’ll do:
- Lead design and review of 2D/3D drawings and structural calculations
- Oversee temporary works: pipe supports, trench boxes, ditch crossings, flumes, sheet-piled excavations
- Guide junior engineers and CAD teams, providing technical leadership
- Ensure compliance with BS, EN, Eurocodes, and CDM 2015
- Support innovation, BIM, and digital construction methods
You’ll need:
- BEng/MEng in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE, IStructE, IMechE)
- 6-8+ years in civil infrastructure / pipeline design
- Strong knowledge of permanent & temporary works, BS 5975, Eurocodes
- Excellent communicator and team leader
