We’re supporting a well-established owner/operator of large-scale operational assets with the hire of a Senior Procurement Associate to strengthen their UK commercial and procurement capability. This is a hands-on role with real influence across procurement strategy, supplier performance, and contract management for long-term operational assets. You’ll work closely with technical, legal, and operational stakeholders to deliver value, manage risk, and ensure continuity of critical services.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for goods and services supporting operational assets
- Plan and run competitive sourcing processes, including RFPs, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiations
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define scopes of work and anticipate supply chain needs
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and supply-chain risks
- Manage contracts from drafting and negotiation through to compliance and performance monitoring
- Act as a commercial focal point on claims, disputes, and contractual interpretation
- Build strong supplier relationships and drive performance through KPIs
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement and contract management processes
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or commercial roles (asset-intensive or infrastructure environments strongly preferred)
- Strong contract management and negotiation skills
- Confidence working cross-functionally with technical, legal, and operational teams
- Commercially astute, analytical, and highly organised
- Comfortable managing risk and handling complex supplier relationships
- Advanced Excel skills and solid understanding of supply-chain principles
- High ethical standards and discretion when handling sensitive information
