We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across the UK. This role offers the chance to lead civil design, work directly with key stakeholders, and contribute to the development of critical energy infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead civil/structural design for power infrastructure projects (e.g. substations, foundations, site development)
- Deliver projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Support project planning including scope, budgets, and schedules
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers
- Contribute to bids, proposals, and business development activities
- Ensure compliance with UK standards and safety regulations (including CDM 2015)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- ~7+ years’ experience in civil/structural design
- Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects
- Strong knowledge of UK design standards and regulations
- Proficiency with CAD/BIM and structural analysis tools
Desirable
- Experience with UK power sector clients (e.g. National Grid, SSEN, SPEN)
- Experience in substation or T&D projects
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it)
