Senior Electrical Engineer - Distribution About the Opportunity An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing Distribution team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of electrical infrastructure projects across the utilities, industrial, renewable energy, and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and delivery of medium and low voltage electrical networks, supporting projects from initial concept through to detailed design and implementation. Key Responsibilities Design medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems in accordance with UK utility standards. Develop network solutions including radial, ring main and open/closed ring configurations. Produce layouts for distribution substations, electrical plant and associated equipment. Prepare primary electrical designs for MV and LV infrastructure. Develop protection and control schemes, including wiring diagrams and equipment interfaces. Complete cable sizing calculations and produce routing, termination and installation drawings. Carry out earthing system design and modelling, including touch, step and transfer potential assessments.
