Role Overview
We are seeking experienced and motivated Civil Engineers of all levels to join our client\’s railway infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and delivery of rail civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee construction and maintenance of railway infrastructure, including track, bridges, tunnels, and earthworks.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and support project delivery from conception to completion.
- Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards and UK health & safety regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and liaise with contractors and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or relevant experience.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience in railway engineering projects in the UK.
- Strong understanding of relevant standards (e.g., NR/L2/CIV/003).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work on-site and travel as required.
