Lead and mentor a team of engineers delivering high-voltage substation design (up to 400kV). Oversee detailed design of primary plant, cabling, layouts, and associated calculations. Ensure design quality, compliance with DNO/National Grid standards, and project profitability. Conduct site surveys and advise on constructability and technical risk. Act as technical authority in client meetings and support business development. Prepare project documentation (e.g. Design Intent Docs, PEPs, BEPs). Manage budgets, deliverables, and act as CDM Principal Designer where required. What We\’re Looking For: Degree in Electrical Engineering; Chartered Engineer (or working toward it). ~10 years\’ experience in HV substation design. Strong leadership, project management, and commercial skills.
